At Mat Lodder Polo we offer a range of services for you, your horse and your polo!

Mat Lodder Polo was founded in 2009 out of a genuine love of our equine friends and a natural ability to work effectively with them, along with a desire to make polo accessible and fun to all.

We have drawn on the varying techniques used by some of the best horsemen and women around the world to create a unique and effective method for breaking, starting and re-schooling horses for all walks of the equine world. We also have a great team and horses in our polo school to work with you, in a laid back and friendly environment, to reach your polo goals or to introduce you to the great sport of kings for the very first time.

Mat Lodder has grown up on a horse and in an incredibly horsey family, brother Joe being a very successful name in the racing world. Starting out in the Pony Club Mat has gone on to travell the world working with some of the top horse men and playing polo professionally with and for some of the biggest names in polo.

Mat’s international polo record speaks for itself, winning the prestigious Queens Cup with Dubai in 2003, playing in the Gold Cup final in 2004, winning the Royal Windsor, Zurich Open, German Sylit and 2 Polo tours in Argentina in 2005 with the renowned La Dolfina and was more recently in the winning team for the 2010 Thai Open in Thailand, the Caterham and Phoenician cup at Guards, along with making it once again to the prestigious Royal Windsor Final. Also important not to forget and possibly most proudly, Mat  represented  England in the 2004 FIP World Cup when England made it to a great final against Brazil.
